Did this hike today and had a great time. Great views and great rock formations. If you like taking pictures than give yourself extra time as I was always stopping and snapping. The new trail for the shelter is up but you can still get there with the old trail. Just remember to take a right when you come from the shelter or you will head north and to maine. Tough in some areas so a dog may not be able to do it without issue.

We did this hike yesterday with our dog. Some of the rock outcroppings were a bit difficult for her to do. The views from the outcroppings are very nice. We had lunch at the shelter, read some of the travelers logs and headed back. Good afternoon hike.
