Trail Overview
A 2.6 mile section of The Highlands Trail [teal diamond], the only marked trail in the park, takes hikers through a maple forest, a pine forest and along the water’s edge through the park before exiting into the Clinton Wildlife Management Area. Park Description
Occupying a pair of peninsulas jutting into Spruce Run Reservoir, the 2,000-acre park is typical of most of the day-use areas found in New Jersey's state parks and forests. A park office and visitor center awaits the visitor immediately upon entering the recreation area. Fifteen miles of shoreline around the third largest reservoir in the state offer ample recreational opportunities.
