This park provides a short connector for the Long Path traveling north from Blauvelt State Park

This park was dedicated in 2003 in memory of Sean Hunter Ryan, a Rockland County resident who died during a rescue attempt while serving as a park ranger at Mount Rainier National Park in the State of Washington.

There are numerous Red Oak, Chestnut Oak, Maple, Black Birch, Hickory, Witch Hazel, and American Ash.
